More often than not, many people have mistaken the blessing and favor of God with being loved by everybody. That is not always true! It is possible that you are loved and favored by God but at the same time you may be rejected by the whole world. It looks paradoxical but stay with me and learn that rejection is one sign that you rejected being led by your senses, and it is the source of your joy.
The truth of the matter is that those great individuals we admire today and in this generation were rejected, hated, persecuted, and even killed by their own generation. Revisit history if you don’t believe me! However, we are preoccupied with the greatness, recognition, and admiration they received forgetting the fact that they had experienced rejection after rejection to get the status they have now.
This is a universal truth. When you are right/righteous, you are loved and favored by God and His Son Jesus who is the Truth (John 14: 6). Let’s not misunderstand being right or righteous. I am not talking about being perfect. No one is perfect as the Bible says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
Some one is right/righteous when that person discovers the Truth, embraces, and commits himself/herself. Knowing Jesus, embracing, and committing oneself shouldn’t be taken as a religious routine and a ticket to enter into heaven. It is about discovering the Truth (that defines God- the author of all truths in this universe), embracing and committing oneself to the truth Jesus represents. I will write another blog about this important topic in the future.
For now, let’s ask this question: Why people reject you when you know that you are right/righteous? There could be many reasons but it all comes to one thing, you chose a right path that they rejected. Because you embraced the Truth, they retaliate and reject you in return to proof you wrong (or to justify their own faulty choice).
Remember this, if you start to experience hate and rejection, while you are on the right track, rejoice. That is the sign that you have come to ‘your true sense’. Finally, you recognized your true self and responded to its yearning to be heard. Now, you start to listen and follow that inner voice, the voice of truth than listening the outside voices.
When you liberated yourself from being dictated by ‘common senses’, you have become for many people a sophisticated person, and the only and easy way they know how to deal with a new you is rejection. Many dictionaries define common sense as ‘a sound judgment based on a simple perception’. Our sense organs perceive things and situations based on the data they collect from their environment. They have limitations and only perceive what is in their ‘weave length’ but I know it and you know it, living a successful life (righteous life) and making the right choice in this challenging world filled with so many seemingly right choices requires more than depending on our senses. The problem is, reaching this level of awareness and choosing this lifestyle is not free and cheap…
When you stop following the lead of your senses that depend on the ‘popular’ things that are physical, tangible, touchable, acceptable, and visible, etc., you run into trouble. Rejecting to follow your senses results in rejection. But rejoice (FYI, Rejoice is one of the core values of AHM)!
They didn’t break the law; did anything wrong against anyone. They were good and decent citizens but they were rejected the moment they aligned with the Truth. Their choice brought insult, rejection, and persecution. But here is what Jesus told His followers, “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you” (Matthew 5:11-12).
If you are experiencing rejection after rejection, you are not the only one. For that matter, you have joined the few elite group of people who aligned with the Truth. These are individuals who searched (and continue to search) the Truth, and once they get it they treasure it more than anything else. In this sacred journey, they are willing to experience ridicule, hate, and rejection…
But I am not encouraging you to go out and pick a fight and attribute that for being persecuted and most importantly the proof that you are right/righteous. Remember, being right/righteous means to discover, embrace, and commit yourself to the Truth, and the grand truth is that God/Jesus is LOVE. And this truth- love, overrides sin. Here is what the scripture has to say about love: “Love covereth all sins” (Proverbs 10:12).
If you have love, you overcame all things including sin, and you are eternal. God loves you and you are the apple of His eye. When you live like Jesus- the embodiment of Truth, you are love and becomes one with God. That is why Jesus said, “I and the Father are one” (John 10: 30). Be one with God by living in this world like Jesus lived!
Now, this is time to overcome all things including rejection. If you have love, God kind of love, you secured your everlasting life because everything in this world falls apart at the end of the day that includes your beautiful body and everything else you treasure. The only thing that endures is love, and therefore; you must seek love even if it may lead you to rejection…
The human race is highly favored from the start, designed after God’s own image, and empowered with His spirit! Humanity was authorized to rule and dominate the rest of creations (Genesis 1: 27 – 28). The list continues…
However, following fall, humanity had lost lots of power, authority….
The good news is that following the coming of Jesus, what had been lost restored…The Kingdom of God came near and dwelled within us (Matthew 10:7; Luke 17:21)…We are redeemed, and restored back to where we were originally. We shouldn’t take this lightly, and we should remind ourselves on a daily, if not a fraction of second, basis…We should live the way Jesus lived- an overcomer kind of life!
We are the redeemed and we are empowered to restore ourselves, and reach the height God saw for us before the foundation of the world. We are blessed and there is no limit for what we can do and achieve. There is nothing that can triumph over us. Because we are His chosen one, we won’t be ashamed!
David, the chosen King, had that awareness regardless of his enemies and their plans to trap and finally deny him of what God saw for him. Though his enemies were too many, he knew that they couldn’t overtake him. They couldn’t succeed in their wicked plans. That was why he was singing saying, “By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.” (Psalm 41: 11).
David was well aware of his covenant with God. Read the whole chapter of Psalm 18 but let me just quote some lines from this chapter:
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold…The Lord thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded. He shot his arrows and scattered the enemy, with great bolts of lightning he routed them…He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me…”
You aren’t condemned, and alone. God is delighted in you…Have the boldness to invoke your covenant right. You are meant to be Victor and Victoria not a Victim of circumstances. The latter cannot triumph over you and cause you feel ashamed. The apostle Paul reiterated what the scripture said about how you won’t be ashamed: “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” (Romans 10:11). Say it aloud: “I won’t be ashamed!” Let the devil hear it well…
The devil may throw at you everything he got with the hope to:
- Overwhelm you,
- Triumph over you, and
- Disgrace you.
Well, tell the devil that it is too late. You are in covenant with God and He is a covenant keeper. He will do everything it takes to make sure that you won’t be triumphed over or ashamed. If the need arises, He may even cause:
- Mountains to move and create a way for your sake.
- The existing laws to change in your favor.
- Hearts of men/women to change (Proverbs 21: 1) so that His will concerning you get fulfilled.
My friend, you’re highly favored and therefore you won’t be ashamed! Invoke your authority and covenant right; don’t give up and be victimized…The days you bow down as a victim are over…
- Have you entered the Kingdom of God yet?
- How do you know that you have already entered into this great Kingdom?
- How does it feel?
If your answer is Yes and you went in great length to explain about it, well, congratulations, you are in a very envious position…
However, if your answer is No or some how you are hesitant to say Yes or No, well, a video teaching entitled “Entering the Kingdom of God now and reaping its full benefits” is coming. This teaching answers the aforementioned questions, and more…
In the meantime, we encourage you to study the Bible concerning the Kingdom of God while waiting the video to be edited and posted on our web site…
This physical universe is a highly polarized world:
- We have East, and then West
- North – south
- Happiness – sadness
- Life – death
- Good – bad
- Hot – cold
- Love – hate
- Blessing – cursing
- Abundance – abundance
- Faith – fear
- Health – sickness…
Unlike other creations, we were designed to make our own choices, and we live according to our choices. If we choose right, we live right. We have the innate ability to choose right and we should choose Happiness, Life, Good, Love, Blessing, Abundance, Faith, and Health…
What have you been choosing lately? Have you enjoyed the fruits of your rightful choices or the opposite?
Many times, people blame God when things aren’t in the way they suppose to be. Others transfer blame to the devil. These kinds of people blame everybody but themselves. The truth of the matter is, wherever we are in life right now, we have a lion share. The sum total of our choices have led us to this point.
The scripture says, “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!” (Deut. 30:19, NLT).
That means, God is in your side, and wants you to choose right. You have the ability and authority to change what you see isn’t what you want. Change your life, live right!
You and I have choices to make on a daily and even on a fraction of second basis. Whatever we choose dictates the way we spend the rest of the day, weeks, months, years…. We can choose happiness, health, love, forgiveness, and so on. The latter is God’s will. He wants us to enjoy these things more than anybody else…
Not only that our choices determine our relationship with the Almighty. We shouldn’t expect to enjoy close fellowship with the Great One while doubting His ability and feeling fearful. The Bible says, “Without faith, no one can please God” (Hebrews 11: 6). If you read the rest of the verses in the same chapter, you could be able to see how some believers believed in His ability and accomplished great things because they chose faith.
What is your choice? Have you started to live the right lifestyle yet? Have you enjoyed the goodness of God because of your right choices? Have you chose faith over fear and doubt? What is keeping you at bay from choosing a life of faith?
Sometimes, we may think that we made the right choice but continue to complain about everything that is manifesting. We could have changed the situation in our favor if we chose faith, courage, love, forgiveness, etc. Because we chose otherwise, we have been paying so many prices and in turn complaining. This behavior not only cost us physically, socially, and health wise, it also has a very devastating implication toward our relationship with God. Complaining is also a wrong choice with fatal consequences…
We shouldn’t continue to complain and expect God to endorse our behavior and let us get away with it so easily and without prices. If you remember the story of the Israelites in the wilderness, the majority tempted Him by complaining and complaining. No mankind had seen the miracles they witnessed at that scale but that wasn’t enough for them. At every corner and whenever they faced challenges, they grumbled and complained. And, you know what happened because of their bad choice of complaining. “For forty years I loathed that generation and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways. Therefore I swore in my wrath, “They shall not enter my rest.”” (Psalm 95: 10-11).
Have you entered into God’s rest yet? If not, may be your choice of complaining about everything is the problem that stood between you and your place of rest. Remember, Joshua and Caleb chose to believe and trust the one who promised, and therefore they entered His rest, and inherited the promise land.
However, I fully understand that making the right choice that changes our life for good isn’t that easy all the time. I also understand that there are many compounding factors that complicate this kind of lifestyle filled with right choices. However, we can try our best and then seek His help to empower us make such choices the majority of the time.
God is a loving and understanding God. He is fair and just. Even faith, He doesn’t expect us to have a mega faith right away and all the time. Jesus said, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you” (Luke 17: 6).
In which camp are you right now: In the complainers’ or in the camp of Joshua and Caleb? If you aren’t in the latter camp, it isn’t too late. Today, you can make the shift. Start to believe, cast out fear and doubt, be thankful, loving, forgiving, …Choose right, live right!
I don’t know your enemies that conspire and desperately seek your demise before you reach your destiny. It could be fear, despair, depression, or poverty. It could be a health hazard. Or there are rivals or critics who sleeplessly conspired and vowed to tear you down. You name it…
Let’s review Biblical stories and see how God saved His chosen ones from deadly conspiracies:
In Daniel’s Book chapter 6, we read a very interesting story where some jealous officials from King Darius’s court conspired to issue a decree that could trap Daniel. They succeeded, Daniel kept praying and that was against the new law. Fast forward, he was condemned and thrown into the den of lions but he was unharmed. The conspirators, however, were thrown into the lions’ den and none of them survived.
Haman, who had a high place in the kingdom of Persia conspired to destroy Mordecai and the entire Jewish community in the kingdom. For his own demise, the verdict was reversed, and finally Haman was hanged on that the same structure he designed to crucify Mordecai. Your enemies will fall into that the same trap they prepared for you. David had that experience when he said, “They dug a pit in my path–but they have fallen into it themselves. Selah” (Psalm 57: 6).
At one point, the angry Pharisees decided to stop Jesus from fulfilling His purpose. They conspired, and even dragged him out of town to throw him down the cliff (Luke 4:29). However, the next verse states that “But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way.” They couldn’t kill Him because His time hadn’t come.
The conspirators were confused or blinded; worst, they forgot why they had walked him up to the cliff, and unable to recognize Jesus who was in their midst. As you read this blog, God is doing His part to rescue you from any unfair plots and conspiracies that are aimed at stopping you from reaching your God ordained destiny. The rescue is underway; you are healed; you are protected; you are promoted; you are blessed while the thing that has been pushing you to the edge is going down. That was the experience the Israelites had when the pursuing army of Pharaoh was drowned in the red sea while they had crossed it on dry ground (Exodus 14: 29).
Paul had rivals who wanted him dead. They formed a conspiracy and vowed not to eat before they kill him (Acts 23:12). What happened? Could they kill him? No…If you read the whole chapter; you will learn that Paul was transported safely and reached his destiny regardless.
What it means to you? As much as your enemies/challenges/obstacles work hard day and night to interrupt your journey toward your place of fulfillment, God is also arranging things to counter their plan. Therefore, you don’t need to worry and lose sleep thinking what the conspirators could do against you. Your shepherd who watches over you 24/7 neither sleeps nor slumbers (Psalm 121:4).
Do those good things God inspired you to do. Pray for your enemies. Remember what Jesus said on the cross: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34).
You are the light and salt of this world, and you are a restorer, and called to restore. You shouldn’t get distracted from your calling because there are conspirators out there. Jesus said, “As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.” (John 9:4) It is still day, and that means you should work on the assignment you are given. Keep going- no conspiracy or challenge could be able to stop you before your time.
The Bible assures you that “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” (Isaiah 54: 17). You are redeemed and righteous. He is your shield from any harm that comes in your way. You are called to shine, and the hour is closer than you think.
